Rod Stewart Fantastic - Colosseum at Caesars Needs Help
Siblings all got together and flew in from all over to celebrate Mom for her 70th, just a year after Dad passed. It was her call - YES, I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO VEGAS AND SEE ROD STEWART! We danced, and cheered, and cried and hugged and LOVED the show! He is fantastic, the people he performs with are wildly talented and entertaining, and despite him being almost 80 years old, he has a great stage performance, and they put a very entertaining show together.
We selected our $200 per person seats strategically so that our Mom would be in the last row of the lower section - easiest for her to get in and out of for getting to the show (without stairs...knee replacements, etc - and to the restroom, etc). What we didn't expect was that there would be a wall behind us, and for whatever reason in the theater, there was absolutely no air flow whatsoever in our row. So much so, that after enjoying the show for an hour in our seats, our entire group of five went out into the hallway with the ushers and security, found some cold concrete benches to sit on, and found the one monitor the show was being broadcast to in our section, and watched the last 6-8 songs from there. Very disappointing for such an iconic location and venue.
Luckily our Mom is a trooper and doesn't let things like that bother her - so she had a great time. But even though I'd love to take my husband back for the same show, or even pop for the $1000 Adele show, I'd NEVER see a show there again for fear there was a problem with air circulation anywhere else in the theater. To pay anything and have a problem like it's too hot in here to sit and enjoy the show is just ludicrous.
Good thing Rod is amazing!
